We are seeking a Biller/Collector to work a 6-month contract position in Irwindale, CA!
The 6-month contract comes with the possibility of an extension or direct offer.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm PST
Compensation: $22.0/hour

Position Overview:
- Collects and recovers the payment from patients and insurance companies for delinquent hospital/medical patient accounts.
- Initiates outbound calls that potentially lead to successful payment or timely arrangement to satisfy delinquent accounts.
- Talks with payers, such as commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid, to resolve problems and gather additional information needed to collect debt.
- Works with customers to find and arrange collection solutions.
- Ensures billing is complete and accurate.
- To efficiently and collectively collect reimbursement for professional services rendered.
- The Collector is in charge of monitoring and processing accounts that are both straightforward or may need further research in order to bring resolution.
- The Collector will work with minimal supervision from management to ensure the integrity of the work performed.
- The Collector works in a team environment to fulfill the mission and goals of the Division.
Required Qualifications :
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 3 to 5 years experience performing medical functions.
- Minimum experience including corresponding with patients and insurance companies in resolving patient accounts.
- Extensive knowledge of insurance carrier procedures.
- Experience with reading Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements.
- Experience with straight Medicare and Medi-Cal payer
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
