Enrollment Representative I - Health Care

Our client, a major health insurance company, is looking for an Administrative professional to work to join their team at the Long Beach, CA location as an Enrollment Representative.

This is a contract opportunity currently budgeted at 3 months with possibility of extension and a starting pay rate of $15.50/hour.

This is a REMOTE position to start and will transition into an onsite role once the Long Beach offices reopen. Only candidates local to OC/LA will be considered for this role.

Summary

The Enrollment Representative serves as a liaison between the Company and its Members and Providers. They will ensure members receive a level of service that exceeds their expectations. 

The Enrollment Representative will be expected to: 

• Verify members eligibility and update as needed


• Update members Primary Care Physician assignments


• Document transaction in database 


• Track daily tasks completed 


• Mack phone calls to commercial carriers to verify medical coverage

Required Education 

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Required Knowledge/Experience/Abilities 

• MUST have some experience in enrollments Medicaid, Medicare, Marketplace and/or Commercial 


• Microsoft Office Suites Knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) 


• Flexible with schedule, Able to work OT if needed


• Able to work from home and flex to work from the office as needed. 


• Strong communication skills, including telephone etiquette, writing skills, and appropriate grammar usage 


• Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)  


• Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers and customers Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility to changes and response to new ideas and approaches
